·         Largest professional body for Insurance
·         Low cost membership for students of £35 a year
·         Key benefits to becoming a member are the networking opportunities, market data and access to the local institutes.

Skills that insurance bodies look for:

The main challenge for the CII is about changing preconceptions about careers in Insurance (it’s not all about cars!)  They also want to attract students from all faculties, not just finance and economics.

Some examples of insurance companies include the following:
AXA
Only take 25 graduates a year, including international applicants.

Take 40 graduates a year.  Have four placements anywhere in the UK.

Take 60 graduates a year and offer 40 summer internships.
